Ultrasound &       Endoscopy

After majoring in Biology at Penn State University and working at Rohm & Haas for 5 years, Dr. Edling entered veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania graduating in 1982. She has been in small animal practice ever since, except for a 4 month leave in 1987 for the birth of her son, Cody.

Dr. Edling's interest in dog and cat medicine is unwavering. In addition, in the 1980's she developed an interest in ferret medicine and ultrasonography. She purchased her own ultrasound machine to learn the techniques and has refined her skills since then. In 1984, she purchased her first ferret, 'Martha', and subsequently became involved with ferret rescue which afforded her the opportunity to see and treat many of the little creatures. Although many veterinarians are reluctant to see ferrets, Dr. Edling is quite comfortable with all phases of their medical care.

For the 2 years prior to coming to work at HVH, Dr. Edling worked primarily in veterinary emergency medicine. She shares her home with 4 ferrets, 4 dogs. 5 cats, 2 cockatoo, and 3 Jackson's chameleons.
