Routine Care: Thorough physical examinations. Vaccinations such as Distemper-Parvo (DALPP), Kennel Cough (Bordetella), Feline Distemper (FVRCP), Feline Leukemia, and Rabies. (Pennsylvania law requires rabies immunization for both dogs and cats). Fecal examination, Heartworm testing. Medicine: Skillful diagnosis and treatment of medical disorders, including diabetes, epilepsy, and cancer. Surgery: Fully equipped in house surgical suite with painless gas anesthesia, continuous monitoring of vital signs during surgery, and completely sterile environment and instrumentation. Laser Surgery: HVH has added a carbon dioxide laser! With laser surgery pets experience less pain, less swelling, and less bleeding, and will heal more quickly, returning to normal activities and home environments sooner. Dermatology: Diagnosis and treatment of all types of skin disease. Dentistry: Gentle dental hygienic care including ultrasonic teeth cleaning, polishing, and periodontal therapy. Ophthalmology: Special attention paid to your pets' eyes with appropriate equipment and surgery available. Laboratory: Routine lab work, including fecal parasite exams, heartworm tests, CBC and chemistry profiles, electrolytes, and urinalyses are performed by registered Animal Health Technicians. Twice daily pick-ups by a large commercial laboratory provide complete and timely results for the most complex tests. Pharmacy: Prescriptions can be filled conveniently at the time of the pet's visit. Radiology: On site X-ray equipment allows quick and complete evaluation of medical problems and injuries. Chest x-rays, abdominal x-rays, including barium studies, and trauma evaluation are easily performed Ultrasound: Ultrasound studies performed in-house by our doctors. HVH also enlists the services of a board certified radiologist for more complex cases. Endoscopy: Fiber optic endoscope allows us to view your pet's internal organs on a TV monitor as well as remove foreign objects and biopsy abnormal tissues. Cardiology: Echocardiograms, pericardiocentesis, and consultations with a board eligible veterinary cardiologist. Emergencies: A telephone answering service ensures that your emergency calls are answered 24 hours a day. We make every attempt to respond personally to your call. In the event the doctor can not respond to your call promptly, you may be referred to a local 24 hour emergency practice. Hospitalization: Tender care is given to all patients in overnight hospital facilities. Pet Supplies: Horsham Veterinary Hospital offers a variety of pet supplies for purchase including prescription diets, flea and tick products (including Advantage, Frontline Plus, and Program), toys, treats, dog crates, cat carriers, and grooming products. Boarding: Our state of the art facility has accommodations to fit all of your pets' needs. Grooming: Our grooming facility offers a personal touch to make your dog or cat look and feel wonderful.
