Tina Hatfield has been teaching obedience training at HVH for over 4 years and has 15 years of competitive dog obedience as well as canine agility, tracking and therapy dog program experience. She believes that to be a successful dog instructor you need to use a variety of training methods--all dogs are different! Her personal goal is to prevent dogs from ending up at rescues or SPCA organizations due to behavior problems that can be easily shaped early on in the puppy's development. Having a well behaved dog is one of the most rewarding aspects of dog ownership! Tina currently has two golden retrievers, Piper and Ginger, and Oliver the cat who thinks he a dog--you should see him walk on a leash!
